About Blended IQ: AI Academy
It started with a simple, daring question from one of Dr Kisito Futonge’s students: “Your classes change the way I think—why not share them with the world?” That spark grew into late-night hallway conversations with fellow faculty, all wrestling with the same challenge: how do we democratize leading-edge knowledge when calendars are already overflowing? The answer arrived with the rise of Generative and Agentic AI. Suddenly, technology could shoulder the heavy lifting—so educators could focus on what matters most: inspiring people. Blended IQ was born.
I’m Dr. Kisito Futonge
Kisito is an assistant professor of Digital Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation. He has taught extensively across executive education programs in leading business schools such as Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin. He is the author of a book on Digital Entrepreneurship currently found in university libraries, and has published journal articles in leading academic journals. Prior to academia, Kisito built and scaled three successful EdTech ventures that collectively reached over 100 million visits in a decade.

I am not your typical academic. I am a Pracademic, effortlessly straddling the worlds of theory and practice. As a founder of 3 successful EdTech venture before turning scholar, I have been fortunate to deliver the capability to differentiate understanding and speak to multiple audiences. Practitioners love it when academic knowledge is digested and delivered in practitioner language. Academics love it when practice provides context for appreciating what is known in theory. Yet, these worlds are often presented as being miles apart. This is a false dichotomy – what you need is translation and here is where I come in. I consider myself a translator, a bridge between worlds – one that aims to bring the best of both to target audiences.
